Whisky Seminars

Treat Dad, yourself, or a friend to a memorable Scottish whisky tasting in honor of Father’s Day at the Highland Games on June 15. Three Seminars are planned to educate and entertain every level of whisky aficionado.  Each seminar is $40 and tickets may be purchased online through June 12 or at the main bar on site.

Hotaling & Co, returns as the Official Whisky Sponsor again this year with great expressions from Balblair, Arran, and Old Pulteney. Mariella Romano, Arran and LAGG’s Global Brand Ambassador, is coming from Scotland to introduce LAGG, a new heavily-peated distillery, from Isle of Arran Distillers. Maurice Chevalier IV, North American Brand Ambassador for Old Pulteney and Balblair, is back to debut new expressions from Balblair and Old Pulteney including an amazing Balblair Chocolate and Whisky pairing class.

Participants will enjoy 4-5 expressions at each seminar including pricey varietals upwards of $250 per bottle.  Seminars are 45-mins and will be held in Building 5 at the Fairgrounds.  All seminars will be led by Romano or Maurice Chevalier IV, Hotaling’s Brand Ambassador from CA, who attended last year, as well.

Seminar One – 12:00pm
Balblair: Whisky and Chocolate Pairing

Presented by Brand Ambassador Maurice Chevalier IV

Enjoy a selection of enticing Balblair Single Malt Scotches, perfectly paired with artisan chocolates. Sample Balblair 12, 15, 18 and 21 year varietals aged in American, Spanish, and ex-bourbon casks.
